Awards and recognition
Alyx Star has been nominated three times by adult industry award bodies. None of the three resulted in a win, and we have listed them as nominations because that is what they were.
XBIZ Awards
2022 — Girl/Girl Performer of the Year: nominated. This is the most significant of the three recognitions. The XBIZ Awards are voted on by the retailers and distributors who actually sell the product, so the nomination reflects commercial demand rather than a critic's assessment, which makes it the harder of the two performer-voted honours to be nominated for.
Fleshbot Awards
The Fleshbot Awards run a separate category structure for straight-oriented material alongside its main awards, and Alyx Star was recognised in that group in consecutive years.
- 2021 — Best Tits: nominated.
- 2022 — Best Girl/Girl Performer: nominated.
AVN Awards
2024 — Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene: nominated, for Misbehave (2022). This is the only one of the three recognitions attached to a specific production rather than to her as a performer, and it is a category about a scene rather than a performer. The nomination arriving at the 2024 awards for a 2022 release is worth noting: the AVN Awards are not held every year, and categories are frequently nominated more than once before a win.
Other recognition
Nubiles Flavor of the Month, July 2022. This is a reader and member vote run by Nubiles, one of the studios she worked for, and not an award from an independent body. It is included here because it marked a real peak in her visibility within that network, not because it ranks alongside the three above.
How these bodies work
Worth knowing if you are reading a credit list: the AVN, XBIZ, and Fleshbot Awards are three separate organisations with separate juries, separate voting methods, and separate histories, and a nomination in one tells you nothing about standing in another. All three are trade organisations operating inside the industry, not independent critics, and all three are commercial bodies that benefit from the visibility of the industry they cover. They are also the only organisations in the sector that maintain any public record at all.
The practical consequence for a reader is that a credit list assembled from award nominations is measuring visibility within the industry rather than quality, and a performer can have a long, successful career with no nominations at all.
