That ratio is worth pausing on. One hundred and seven covers against two hundred and one scenes means she appeared on roughly half the covers she shot in — a high cover rate, which is a measure of how heavily a studio promoted her rather than of how much she shot. Cover counts and scene counts are different measures of different things and are frequently conflated in bios.

Studio work and independent work
For most of her active career Alyx Star worked primarily through studios, which is the dominant model in mainstream American adult production: the studio supplies the cast, the set, the crew, and the distribution, and the performer's name is attached to the release. From 2021 she ran her own production company in parallel, which moved part of that relationship under her control.
The distinction matters for anyone reading a credit list, because a self-produced title released through a subscription platform is a different kind of credit from a studio release, and lists frequently blur the two.
